Programas culturales de Vme TV llevan a los televidentes en un Viaje histórico a España

MIAMI, FL – Vme TV, the only national Spanish-language television network affiliated with public television stations, will broadcast two miniseries that highlight key geographical, political and historical factors that impacted and shaped Spain’s culture during two significant periods of time, World War I and the Industrial Revolution. “La Salazón” will air January 5, 2015 through January 8, 2015 at 9 p.m. E/P and “Barcelona Ciudad Neutral” will air on January 12, 2015 through January 15, 2015 at 9 p.m. E/P.
Taking place during the middle of the nineteenth century, “La Salazón,” tells the story of a young Catalan man sent to Galicia to manage a small anchovy-salting factory, owned by one of the many Catalans who settled there, to find that the anchovies are no longer in the Mediterranean Sea. The miniseries follows the young man through time and observes the changes incurred by the Industrial Revolution and the effects they had on Galicia and on his family. Vme TV viewers can watch “La Salazón” January 5, 2015 through January 8, 2015 at 9 p.m. E/P.
“Barcelona Ciudad Neutral,” takes a look at the First World War as it had just broken out and a group of young people who find themselves at the Barcelona port, waiting to board a ship that will never sail. This program highlights the differences that mark six strangers who establish a circumstantial friendship that will last throughout the war and the stirring topics that move them during such a tumultuous time. “Barcelona Ciudad Neutral” will air on January 12, 2015 through January 15, 2015 at 9 p.m. E/P.
